By downloading or using TaleKit ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Using TaleKit

TaleKit is a creative tool for generating illustrated storybooks using artificial intelligence. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes including creating stories for your family, friends, and personal enjoyment.

2. Your Content

You own your stories. The text you write and the creative direction you provide remain yours. You may share, print, and distribute the storybooks you create for personal use.

AI-generated illustrations. Illustrations are generated by AI based on your prompts and character descriptions. While you may use these illustrations in your personal storybooks, AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions.

Uploaded photos. If you upload reference photos, you confirm that you have the right to use those photos and consent to their processing for character generation.

3. Credits and Subscriptions

TaleKit uses a credit system. Credits are consumed when generating stories, illustrations, and other AI-powered features.

• Free credits are provided to new users and cannot be transferred
• Subscription credits are added monthly and accumulate up to a maximum balance
• Purchased credit packs do not expire
• Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable except as required by law

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations follow Apple's subscription policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TaleKit to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Create content depicting violence, abuse, or exploitation of children
• Attempt to bypass credit limits or abuse the generation system
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its services
• Use automated tools to access the app's services

We reserve the right to suspend access if these terms are violated.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

TaleKit uses AI to generate text and illustrations. AI output may occasionally be unexpected, inaccurate, or inconsistent. We do not guarantee specific results. You should review all generated content before sharing or printing.

6. Availability

We strive to keep TaleKit available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI generation depends on third-party services that may experience downtime. We are not liable for temporary unavailability.

7. Limitation of Liability

TaleKit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TaleKit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides.
