TaleKit ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Device identifier. We generate an anonymous device identifier stored in your device's Keychain to manage credits and prevent abuse. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
Photos you upload. If you upload reference photos to create a character, these images are sent to our AI service for portrait generation and are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.
Analytics data. We collect anonymous usage analytics including device model, country, language, and app events (such as story creation or feature usage). This data contains no personally identifiable information.
Purchase data. Subscription and purchase information is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive anonymous transaction records but never see your Apple ID, payment method, or billing details.
All stories you create are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, stories may sync to your other devices via iCloud. We do not have access to your stories.
Story illustrations are generated via our cloud service and temporarily cached for delivery, then automatically deleted.

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only send the minimum data required for each service to function.
TaleKit is designed for parents and caregivers to create storybooks for children. The app is not intended for use by children under 13 without parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
When a parent uploads a child's photo for character creation, the photo is processed solely for generating an illustrated character portrait and is not retained on our servers.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure Keychain storage for device identifiers, and Cloudflare's security infrastructure for our API endpoints.
Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Uploaded photos are processed and deleted immediately after character generation. Device credit records are retained as long as your device is active.
You can delete all local app data by uninstalling TaleKit. To request deletion of any server-side data associated with your device, contact us at the email below.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
